The second day of the competition was opened by men's singles. The guys faced the second difficulty: before the start of the free program, Artur Danielyan withdrew from the competition. Shortly before that, Ilya Yablokov did the same. Vladislav Dikidzhi, who had already won in Kazan, had an excellent rental. Vladislav withdrew from the stage in Samara due to a cold, which also affected his performance in Moscow:

“After the illness, I didn't have time to recover properly, I lost my shape, it's hard to breathe. There is still a cough. There was no stopping the coughing after the rental. But I'm happy as it is, I fought, I did everything I could,” Dikiji told reporters.

In the free program of ultra-si elements, the skater performed a quarter lutz, two quarter salchow and a triple axel. Dikiji was the only one who received 100 points for the technique, and the total amount for two rentals was 282.81. This number of points brought the skater victory.

Mark Kondratyuk took second place after Dikigi. Daniil Samsonov closed the top three winners, for whom this medal was the first after a long break in figure skating. The skater was diagnosed with Osgood-Schlatter Syndrome. Matvey Vetlugin, the leader after the short program, took fifth place at the end of the free skate.

As for women, Kamila Valieva was expected to win. After the short program, it was clear that the 2022 Olympic champion was serious about the team event. Kamila performed the short program superbly, but fell off the quadruple sheepskin coat and triple lutz at random. But this did not prevent Valieva from winning gold.

"I am very proud of myself because there were so many thoughts in my head, so much winding myself up before going out… When you're riding sixth, you have 40 minutes to get to yourself. But I went out and did the minimum that I could show. I finished the track, removed the slide. This is far from the best rental, not good at all. But there is something to be a little proud of," Kamila commented on her rental.

It is worth noting that this is Kaimla Valieva's first victory of the season. Veronika Yametova, a representative of the Sverdlovsk region, took the second place. The top three winners were rounded out by Evgeni Plushenko's student Sofia Muravyeva, who tore off two trixels in the free program.

Leadership in pairs was expected to be strengthened by Alexandra Boikova and Dmitry Kozlovsky. In the free skate, they had a lot of flaws, including an error when leaving the triple Rittberger after the ejection, however, they received the best points for both equipment and components.

Natalia Khabibullina and Ilya Knyazhuk rose to the second position. Due to better rental, they were ahead of Ekaterina Chikmareva and Matvey Yanchenkov.
